Minimum Qualifications:

BACHELORS + 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE (MINIMUM)

Six years of the experience* in equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion, or human rights.
Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications:
The following may substitute for the nonsupervisory experience:
An associate degree may substitute for two years;
• A bachelor’s degree for four years; and
• A J.D. or master’s degree for five years.


*Qualifying experience includes working with organizations concerned with equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion, civil rights, minority business development, or similar programs; or in recruiting, training, and upgrading the educational and job qualifications of protected class members.
 

Job Description:

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
• Coordinate the implementation of diversity and inclusion, and equal opportunity initiatives.
• Communicate agency goals and objectives to agency executives and advise agency management on diversity and inclusion, and equal opportunity matters.
• Produce reports and analyze data to produce reports related to agency diversity and inclusion, and equal opportunity programs.
• Participate in all recruiting/talent acquisition activities including but not limited to job fairs, college visits, and social media marketing.
• Participate in candidate selections and interviews to ensure that equal opportunity and diversity is considered in the agency selection process.
• Review personnel actions such as hiring, promotion, and termination to ensure fairness and equity.
• Participate in examination planning and candidate sourcing meetings to make sure that equal opportunity is considered in agency selection process.
• Train agency employees on equal opportunity issues related to employment and provision of services.
• Make determinations on requests from clients and employees for reasonable and religious accommodations pursuant to federal and State laws.
• Investigate discrimination complaints in the provision of services from agency clients and makes recommendations to management.
• Develop relevant programming to enhance employees’ cultural awareness.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
