Patient Experience Intern
At ACN Wellness, we are a practice that uses proven mainstream techniques in
addition to alternative medical services such as chiropractic, acupuncture, and
functional medicine in Northern Virginia and beyond.
Our integrative philosophy encourages alternative approaches to treat pain, injury and lifestyle illnesses which plague today’s society. As a part of ACN Wellness, you will learn targeted care plans for all phases of healing, from acute to chronic, recovery to performance. Our treatment protocols utilize the least invasive, yet most effective techniques tailored to each patient's condition.
We are seeking part and/or full time interns to join our Vienna and/or Leesburg practices for the Fall semester of 2021**. As an intern, you will shadow and be exposed to a variety of clinical and administrative tasks while working alongside our health professionals on projects involving research, data collection, business development, patient education, strategic planning, etc. If this position is needed for course credit/internship requirements, we are willing to provide any necessary documentation to our institution. Ideal candidates can expect the following:
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with our health professionals to scribe/notetaking for each patients’ treatments and consults to transfer notes into EMR system
- Assisting in putting patients on and off therapies, such as, but not limited to, electric muscle stimulation and cold laser, etc..
- Provide quality customer service; checking patients in/out, answering phone calls, scheduling, operating EHR software
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, collect and post payments on patient accounts. In addition, the position will be assisting with other tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associates, Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- Customer service oriented
- Medical Terminology (preferred)
- Goal Oriented
- Detailed Oriented
This position does not have remote work available, so you will be required to commute to our Vienna and/or Leesburg offices*
